FENWICK ISLAND, Del. - The town of Fenwick Island met with DNREC to try and come up with long term solutions for flooding. A lot of the solutions were surrounding bulkheads, which are typically wooden barriers that separate any body of water from land. Some ideas were raising bulkheads, adding more bulkheads across Fenwick Island, or adding bulkheads behind piled up stones, called riprap. But the town said this is a long term process and they first need grant money to begin these projects.

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Sunfest kicked off in Ocean City today for its 48th year. The annual festival includes music, crafts, activities and food from all across Delmarva and beyond. There were artisans from across the country who come to Ocean City to show off their work. Sunfest is considered a great event for local businesses even the ones not close to the inlet. The owner of Bayside Skillet Sid Zweigbaum said Sunfest is always pretty busy.

OCEAN CITY, Md. - The Planning Commission in Ocean City is proposing parking code changes to help with the lack of street parking in town. The changes would increase the number of parking spaces required of newly developed houses and townhomes to be three instead of two and a half spaces. In that development one space would be required to be outside the garage. The town is also proposing wider driveways and garages as a new parking code.

FENWICK ISLAND, Del. - The town of Fenwick Island is waiting for DNREC and the Army Corps of Engineers to give them the approval to start the dredging of the Little Assawoman Bay. But before that can happen the town is asking people who live in Fenwick Island to send in support of the dredging project to DNREC. Some in town like Sudzy Harrison said the dredging of the canals is a big time need for boater safety but the bay could use some other updates.

OCEAN CITY, Md. - The town of Ocean City will be voting on whether or not the Margaritaville project will get the green light for air rights they've requested. The Margaritaville Beach Resort project is looking to get the air rights for the alley on Washington Lane between 13th and 14th streets. If granted the developers have agreed to expand the alley and add a bike lane. While some like local Greg Vanmeter said he thinks the project would attract more people to ocean city.
