President Donald Trump began quickly implementing his agenda shortly after taking office on Monday by signing a slate of executive orders. The first order he signed before a crowd at the Capital One Arena revoked approximately 80 executive actions that had been signed by former President Joe Biden. The orders are part of a broad plan that’s expected to include more than 50 items in total signed by the new president following his inauguration.

President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump spoke on the phone over the Thanksgiving holiday last week, according to two people familiar with the call. The previously unreported phone call marks the only known time Biden and Trump have spoken since the president-elect visited the White House for a meeting in the Oval Office on Nov. 13. The two people familiar with the conversation said Trump called Biden to wish him a happy Thanksgiving.
