    Leslie Roberts, the owner and founder of Miami Fine Art Gallery in Florida, has been indicted for allegedly selling forged Andy Warhols. On 9 April, agents from the FBI's Art Crime Team entered Roberts’s gallery in Miami, removing art and hauling it away in cardboard boxes, covering the windows to prevent the public from peeking in. Roberts and an associate, Carlos Miguel Rodriguez Melendez, were arrested and charged. Their arraignment is scheduled for 21 April.

    After a week of controversy, the mayor of Miami Beach decided to withdraw his initial proposal to cancel the lease and block a small cinema’s funding due to its screening of the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land. Residents packed city hall to make public comments, and regardless of their backgrounds and opinions, the majority, including city commissioners, agreed that censorship, eviction and defunding of O Cinema were not the answer or the path forward.

In 2013, the same year the Miami Art Museum was renamed for its generous benefactor, Related acquired a four-acre lot in the city’s Brickell financial district in order to build a giant luxury hotel and residential complex. Related spent $104m just to acquire the land.
