As a pregnant teenager, Sara Foster felt scared and ashamed sitting in the waiting room at her local women's health centre. "I felt like the floor could swallow me whole," she said. "Here I was, this young single woman who had just finished school six months ago. "I was so worried about being judged."Two decades later, Ms Foster has returned to the Central Coast Community Women's Health Clinic — this time as its chief executive officer. Six brand new brush-tailed rock wallabies have been discovered in their mothers' pouches at the Barrington Wildlife Sanctuary on the NSW Mid North Coast. The joeys' arrival has been hailed as a career highlight for rangers working on the endangered wallaby breeding program, which began in 2018. The joeys will remain in their mothers' pouches for six months, with their development monitored by rangers from a distance.
