Gonkey, a four-year-old dairy goat, has been fighting for its life after being bitten by a red-bellied black snake at a wildlife park on the NSW Central Coast. The goat has been given $3,000 worth of antivenom, and donations of IV fluids have been sent from as far away as Victoria. Gonkey has physiotherapy sessions four times a day to help it walk again, but is not out of the woods.

A goat living at a wildlife sanctuary on the New South Wales Central Coast has survived a snake bite, and is on the road to recovery. 'Gonkey' weighs around 120 kilograms, and is receiving around-the-clock care after a Red-Bellied Black Snake bite.

Gosford City Bowling Club is facing imminent closure with the land it sits on slated for redevelopment. The leagues club that supported the venue for almost 40 years has severed ties with no notice. The bowling club is looking for support to remain viable. At 91, Bill Murphy is one of the longest-serving members of Gosford City Bowling Club. It is the reason he gets out of bed in the morning. "My wife passed away 18 years ago, so bowls is my only social life these days," Mr Murphy said.

Police have charged a man during an investigation into the ignition of gas cylinders which started fires in two legal offices in Gosford. There were no serious injuries but police have called the attack "violent" and "brazen". The 66-year-old man is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday. A man has been charged over explosions at two separate legal offices in Gosford.

Police are providing an update on the continuing search for a man suspected of throwing an incendiary device into a legal office and lighting a fire in Gosford CBD yesterday. Dozens of employees were evacuated from a building on Donnison Street just after 2:30pm yesterday, with some reporting black smoke coming from the third floor. We're going live shortly on this story.
