COLORADO SPRINGS — This April, The Calvary Family Martial Arts and Fitness will offer free martial arts classes for students in several districts in Colorado Springs. This is part of the martial arts studio's HOPE initiative. The program stands for “Helping Other People Elevate.” Starting in April, families with at least one elementary-age child in districts 3,11, 20, and 49 will be given a free month of classes at CFMAF Martial Arts in Colorado Springs.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — As we enter the spring season, pollen levels are high in Southern Colorado. So, if spend a lot of time outside, it's important to be mindful that pollen can spread easily. Pollen can get into your eyes, nose, and throat, causing the seasonal allergy symptoms that many people experience. I spoke with Dr. Nathanael Brady. He's an allergist at Pikes Peak Allergy and Asthma about the high levels of pollen we are seeing.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Today is Super Tuesday and for those of you planning to vote in the primary, there are some things you need to know. You have until 7 p.m. to drop off your ballot or vote in person or it will not be counted. You can drop your ballot off at one of the 39 drop-off boxes. There are also 11 vote services polling centers set up throughout El Paso County. These allow you to vote in person.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The first half of this year's property taxes are due today. Because of rising home values, some Coloradans saw their taxes go up by thousands of dollars. Property taxes are higher this year because of the rising property values and a change in the law a few years ago that shifted the tax burden from businesses to homeowners. The El Paso County treasurer, Chuck Broerman says the bill for property taxes was mailed out later than usual.

PUEBLO, Colo. — As we continue to showcase black history month, we want to take you inside the walls of the Coronado Motel in Pueblo. The Coronado Motel was once called the Coronado Lodge. It was known for welcoming black travelers during a time of Jim Crow laws and segregation in America. The Green Book served as a travel tool for black people when segregation laws kept black Americans from using hotels in many of America’s cities.
