KRDO-TV (Colorado Springs, CO)

KRDO-TV channel 13 has been serving the Southern Colorado area since September 21, 1953. Originally, the station was locally owned until June 26, 2006, when it transitioned to new ownership under the News-Press & Gazette Company from St. Joseph, Missouri. The Hoth family, who previously owned Pikes Peak Broadcasting Company, decided to sell to NPG because of its dedication to high-quality journalism and community service, as a family-run business itself.
