    PUEBLO — Pueblo city council members voted unanimously to move a sit-lie ordinance to a second and final vote next month. The ordinance would make it illegal for anyone to sit or sleep on public sidewalks in a few different areas of the city near many businesses including downtown right of ways, like sidewalks and trails.

An alert from the sheriff's office says people who live in the area should secure their homes and stay away from doors and windows.     COLORADO SPRINGS — A decision made Wednesday afternoon by an El Paso County judge means that Colorado Springs voters will likely see a question about recreational marijuana sales on their April ballots. Court documents show the judge granted an emergency stay request filed by the city, pending an appeal to the state supreme court. It gives the city the go-ahead to put the question on the ballot.

    EL PASO COUNTY — Highway 24 is closed near Falcon in El Paso County after a crash that left one person dead Sunday morning. Colorado State Patrol tells News5 the crash was reported at 11:39 a.m. It involved two vehicles. One of the drivers was thrown from their vehicle. The other driver was pinned. The driver who was thrown from their vehicle died at the scene. The pinned driver was rescued and flown to a hospital in Colorado Springs. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

    EL PASO COUNTY — People living in a neighborhood north of Falcon are being asked to shelter in place because of a gas leak. This is according to a notification that was sent out by Peak Alerts. People near the intersection of North Meridian Road and Rex Road are being asked to secure their homes or businesses and stay away from doors and windows. El Paso County says the intersection is closed to traffic. They are asking people to avoid the area until the leak is repaired.
