But in WCBD’s 25th year, her success as a talk show host at a competing television station made Joan Mack a standout addition to the reporting team. “The news director at the other channel had already moved to Channel 2. So, he knew my work,” Mack recalled. Mack joined WCBD as a reporter in 1977.
