And, despite taking home the NJ Gatorade Player-Of-The-Year award his senior year of high school, he still felt like he was underrated. “I know a lot of people thought I wouldn’t be anything,” Allen said at the NFL Scouting Combine.

NFL Combine workouts began around 1 PM with running backs, followed by the first group of wideouts and quarterbacks. And, my day started watching Syracuse Orange running back LeQuint Allen. Allen did not run the 40-yard dash, but he did participate in the vertical jump (35”) and broad jump (10’0”).

I got to the media work room around 8 AM, got settled, and just before 9:15 AM, former Syracuse Orange quarterback Kyle McCord was already at the podium getting ready to speak. “Being here right now, it’s a little surreal... it was a dream growing up,” McCord added.
