Coleman had worked with the department for four years and is known for his dedication and service to the community.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — One person is injured after being shot while driving, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department. Officers said they responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of North Liberty Street on Tuesday around 5:19 p.m.Police said the victim was driving on Liberty Street when a person in another vehicle fired several rounds. One round hit the victim, who drove away from the scene and called police. There is no information on the victim and suspect's relationship at this time.
