An electric vehicle charging company has sued three King County residents and 50 co-conspirators for allegedly running schemes to steal and resell scrap metal stripped from the company’s stations in the Seattle area and pilfering its trade secrets. One man is accused of using bolt cutters to cut off charging cords and breaking into charging equipment cabinets to steal metal from inside, then reselling the materials to salvage shops.

First responders resuscitated a man who was underwater for nearly 30 minutes after he and his car went into Lake Washington near the Mercer Island Boat Launch Tuesday morning. Bellevue medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center, and there was no immediate update on his condition, said Catherine Imboden, an Eastside Fire & Rescue spokesperson. “That’s a really dicey thing after that long in the water,” Imboden said.

A Kirkland high school was evacuated before classes started Friday morning after someone called the school's office to report a bomb inside one of the bathrooms. Kirkland police responded and searched Lake Washington High School off Northeast 75th Street and 122nd Avenue Northeast, according to an email the Lake Washington School District sent to families, students and staff shortly after 10 a.m.The district dismissed students and closed the school for the rest of the day.

A Washington man accused of circling the parking lot of a Ukrainian market in a fake Immigration and Customs Enforcement SUV reportedly told Fife police he had used the car for a video “skit” he posted on YouTube. Ilya Kukhar, 26, pleaded not guilty to a charge of second-degree criminal impersonation, a gross misdemeanor, according to a Fife Municipal Court record filed Monday.
