In late summer of 2023, Keystone Symposia held the first scientific conference convening research leaders investigating the pathology behind Long COVID. The symposium “Long COVID and Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 (PASC): Pathogenesis and Treatment” was held at the Eldorado Spa and Resort in Santa Fe, New Mexico August 27–30, 2023. The conference was organized by Michael Holtzman, Steven Deeks, Resia Pretorius, and Catherine Blish.

AbstractThe introduction of more effective and selective mRNA delivery systems is required for the advancement of many emerging biomedical technologies including the development of prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines, immunotherapies for cancer and strategies for genome editing. While polymers and oligomers have served as promising mRNA delivery systems, their efficacy in hard-to-transfect cells such as primary T lymphocytes is often limited as is their cell and organ tropism.
