Fashion design students at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School have been busy crafting items to help improve end-of-life care at a Hamilton hospice. In addition to pillow cases being made for patients at Margaret’s Place Hospice, the students embarked on a project creating hand-sewn, palm-sized hearts called Hearts for Hospice.

The Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) is launching Alice in Bloomland, a floral exhibit inspired by “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” running from Feb. 1 to March 30. The display will feature 25,000 flowers, including thousands of orchids, set against large-scale artistic installations. The exhibit, which will be open Tuesday through Sunday, aims to provide an immersive indoor experience during the winter months.
