A jack-knifed lorry is causing long delays on one of the main routes out of Cardiff. It has happened on the northbound carriageway of the A4232 between St Fagans and junction 33 of the M4 at Capel Llanilltern. Traffic Wales said at 12.40pm that the road is" blocked due to a jack-knifed lorry blocking the road". Their advice is: "Traffic is very heavy with long delays, please avoid the area if possible." An eye-witness says there are police, fire crews and ambulance at the scene.

Residents living near a Welsh country park are being told to keep their doors and windows closed as a large wildfire burns. South Wales Police confirmed on just before 10.30pm on Saturday night that fire crews were dealing with a wildfire near Bryngarw Country Park, Bridgend. They have urged people living nearby to keep windows and doors closed due to the smoke, and "where possible for members of the public to avoid the area so as not to hamper firefighting activities".
