Charleston County, SC — A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for a portion of Charleston County until 12pm Friday. Areas affected include Yonges Island, Meggett, Johns Island and Hollywood. Areas along the Wadmalaw River need to monitor water levels. Heavy rainfall has been ongoing over this portion of Charleston County this morning. Flash flooding is ongoing or about to begin in these areas. Remember to never drive through a flooded roadway-- turn around, don't drown.

Residents saw different precipitation types, ranging from snow, to sleet, to freezing rain. Unofficial snowfall reports from the National Weather Service show totals through 9:15 a.m. ranging from 0.5" in Mount Pleasant (recorded around 11 p.m. Tuesday) to 6" inches in Cross (recorded at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday).
