LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — A tornado watch has been issued for parts of South Carolina as well as Georgia Monday afternoon. The watch covers the entire Lowcountry of South Carolina from the Savannah River to the Santee River, according to the National Weather Service. The watch expires at 1 a.m, but could possibly be extended longer based on the conditions. This comes as the Lowcountry continues to feel the impacts of Tropical Storm Debby, which made landfall as a Hurricane in in Florida.

LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — Friday is a Storm Tracker Day as a storm system is expected to move across the Deep South into the Carolinas. There will be two rounds of showers and thunderstorms, one late in the afternoon and another squall line with the cold front late at night. Strong gusty winds will be possible just about anytime, but especially in the afternoon all the way through the overnight, generally 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts.
