For quite a while virtual reality, as headset or immersive cinema, seemed to be the next ground for film. The use of generative AI in film and television contributed to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike (Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) and WGA strike (Writers Guild of America). The film Eno (2024) doesn’t use generative AI, but generative practices, which introduces a necessary distinction.
