LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Before Cam Jurgens was a Super Bowl champion, he starred on the football field at Beatrice High School. Eight years after his final game in Gage County, Jurgens’ alma mater put his name on the turf. The school dedicated its turf field ‘Cam Jurgens Field’ during a ceremony on a steamy summer evening at the House of Orange. Jurgens signed autographs, interacted with fans, and was recognized with dozens in attendance. Jurgens was a three-time All-State selection at Beatrice.

LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska Athletics Press Release) - Nebraska advanced to its second consecutive Big Ten Championship game with a 6-3 win against Penn State in front of 8,541 fans on Saturday night at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha. Nebraska (31-27) scored six runs on 12 hits, while Penn State (33-23) totaled three runs on nine hits. Devin Nunez was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, and Hogan Helligso drove in two runs on a 2-for-4 effort on Saturday.
