LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The 21st-ranked Nebraska softball team hit three home runs in an 8-2 win over Creighton on Wednesday. The homers raise the Huskers’ total to 79, breaking the school’s single-season record. Samantha Bland cleared the left field fence in the second inning for the NU mark. The Huskers added two more later in the game with back-to-back homers by Ava Bredwell and Ava Kuszak. Nebraska also got run-producing hits by Kacie Hoffman, Emerson Cope, and Hannah Camenzind.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Nebraska Men’s Basketball team won the inaugural College Basketball Crown. Along with it, the Huskers earned $300,000 in NIL money. Nebraska head coach Fred Hoiberg said the prize money will be split evenly across the Huskers’ 2024-25 roster. Coaches will not receive any of the purse. Hoiberg says the $300,000 prize money for winning the Crown will be distributed evenly across Nebraska’s 2024-2025 roster.

The Huskers held their eighth off-season workout, in which the team practiced both inside the Hawks Championship Center and at Memorial Stadium. Nebraskaâs revamped wide receiver group starred during the portion open to the media with Kentucky transfer Dane Key easily catching passes. Nyziah Hunter also looked smooth while running routes, along with early enrollees Cortez Mills and Isaiah Mozee.
