Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School recognized six of its seniors with a collegiate sports signing ceremony on Thursday, May 8. Two Minutemen football players signed letters of intent at the ceremony. Santi Chavez will be heading to North Carolina to play for Brevard College and Kyler Coe is set to join Denison University. Skye Dias selected Saint Leo University as her next stop, and she will join the school's Women's soccer team.

Eau Gallie is the highest seed from Brevard County, ranked No. 2 in Region 2-4A. Games begin May 7 for Classes 1A-4A, and May 8 for 5A and 6A. Eight Brevard County high school softball teams earned spots in the FHSAA state tournaments that start this week. First round games for classes 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A open up May 7, while Brevard's 5A and 6A teams will play their regional quarterfinal games on May 8. Eau Gallie is the Brevard County team that received the highest seed in the state brackets.
