GALVESTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police are searching for a suspect after a man was found dead in Galveston on Thursday, and it was discovered his car was missing. According to Galveston police, officers were called to an apartment complex in the 8100 block of Seawall Boulevard just before 10 a.m. Thursday. Officers found an older man lying face down on the floor, according to Galveston PD. EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene. Officials identified the victim as 74-year-old Richard Thomas.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in the Gulfton area in southwest Houston overnight, according to police. A second young man was also shot. The shooting happened on Elm Street near Renwick Drive. Houston police said two groups of young men were making some sort of transaction around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday when gunfire erupted. The 16-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Another young man who had been shot in his lower extremities went to a hospital for help.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A teenager is among the two people shot while stopped at a light in southwest Houston around midnight Monday, police said. The 22-year-old driver and his 17-year-old passenger in the back seat told police they were on Renwick Drive between Bellaire Boulevard and Bissonnet Street when someone fired shots at their vehicle. The pair believe the shots came from a truck that pulled up behind them, police said. Both of them were hit.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A mother and her 10-year-old son died in a multi-vehicle wrong-way crash on the I-45 Gulf Freeway near Allen Parkway overnight, according to police. Houston police said the deadly crash happened around 12:45 a.m. Monday in the southbound lanes of I-45 near the Pierce/Dallas exit. Surveillance video in the area shows a red Ford F-150 traveling the wrong way on the freeway before slamming into a Mitsubishi Outlander with a family of four inside, according to investigators.
