We're dying right now," one resident, who didn't share his name with ABC13, said. Those with generators said they are running them 24/7 and paying the price to keep them running. "$30 a day so far for two weeks, that's like $420 right now," the resident said. Those without generators on hand prop open doors, fill coolers with ice, and avoid the sun.

According to the Houston Police Department, the crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. The department says two officers were driving down North Wayside Drive, reportedly responding to a call, when they say a pickup truck pulled out in front of them. The patrol unit slammed into the truck.
