In the framework of multi-image phase retrieval techniques, it is commonly assumed that all diffraction intensity images have the same accuracy and thus contribute equally during the sample reconstruction process. However, it is a fact that the noise and systematic errors inconsistently affect diffraction images in the experiment. In this paper, a nonlinear weighting strategy is introduced into the parallel mode phase retrieval algorithm.

Determination of Ultralow Iridium Concentration in Small Geological Samples: Isotope Dilution Coupled with Multiple Ion Counting Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry Concentration of Ir in natural samples can provide useful information for tracing a variety of geological and planetary processes, however, efficient, sensitive, and precise analysis of Ir contents remains challenging especially for crustal samples that are highly depleted in Ir (i.e., at pg g-1 level).

AbstractLeveraging X-rays to initiate prolonged luminescence (radio-afterglow) and stimulate radiodynamic 1O2 production from optical agents provides opportunities for diagnosis and therapy at tissue depths inaccessible to light. However, X-ray-responsive organic luminescent materials are rare due to their intrinsic low X-ray conversion efficiency. Here we report a cascade X-ray energy converting approach to develop organic radio-afterglow nanoprobes (RANPs) for cancer theranostics.

1 INTRODUCTION Postoperative radiotherapy (RT) plays an indispensable role in reducing recurrence and improving survival in breast cancer (BC) patients.1, 2 However, evidence has shown that radiation-induced heart disease (RIHD) would offset the survival benefits at different extents.3, 4 Unlike systemic treatments that are administered with fixed doses, radiation dose to the heart depends on predefined constraints and techniques.

In its effort to appease voters and address Canada’s housing crisis, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government has made drastic cuts to immigration rates. But the implementation of this change fails to consider the impacts on international students and their families already in Canada on temporary permits. Students like Niño. Niño’s mother came to Canada in 2018 as a caregiver on a work permit.
