1 Introduction Housing, a critical social determinant of health, affects well-being through affordability, stability, quality, and safety (Taylor 2018; Gibson et al. 2011). For low-income renters, the high and inflexible cost of rent consumes a large portion of the household budget, creating financial constraints that limit spending on other essentials such as healthcare (Hess et al. 2024; Fernald 2020; Kirkpatrick and Tarasuk 2011).

1 Introduction Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the primary malignancy of the liver and is the predominant cancer type in China, with high global prevalence.[1] Recently, methods for diagnosing and treating HCC have substantially improved.[2] However, many patients still miss the opportunity for radical surgery because of early intrahepatic metastasis.[3] Therefore, factors that facilitate metastasis should be further explored to improve early diagnosis rates.

Abstract This note is devoted to the analysis of adaptive sliding mode control of H ∞ $$ {}_{\infty } $$ /passivity of semi-Markov jump discrete-time uncertain singular systems. We consider the constraints of parameter uncertainties, unknown nonlinear functions, and external disturbances throughout the model. Firstly, a novel mode-independent sliding mode surface is constructed, then the sliding mode dynamic equation under the equivalent controller is obtained.
