1. IntroductionThe parasol (san 傘/繖) originally served as a practical item for providing shade and protection from rain, and after being elaborately decorated, it evolved into a ceremonial canopy. The ceremonial canopy gradually became a device for displaying authority and honoring respected figures. The chuang 幢 can be seen as a multi-layered canopy, with components and construction methods that are quite similar.

AbstractConcurrent recording of EEG/fMRI signals reveals cross-scale neurovascular dynamics that are crucial for elucidating fundamental linkage between function and behaviors. However, MRI scanners generate tremendous artifacts for EEG detection. Despite existing denoising methods, cabled connections to EEG receivers are susceptible to environmental fluctuations inside MRI scanners, creating baseline drifts that complicate EEG signal retrieval from the noisy background.

The method we used is similar to that reported in an earlier study we published [19]. Briefly, the gene expression profiling datasets GSE24988 [20], GSE113439 [21] and GSE117261 [22] are based on GPL6244 ([HuGene-1_0-st] Affymetrix Human Gene 1.0 ST Array [transcript (gene) version]) were downloaded from the GEO database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo/). The GSE24988 dataset contained 62 PH and 22 normal lung tissues. The GSE113439 dataset contained 15 PH and 11 normal lung tissues.

In this study, we investigate the influence of global innovation networks (GINs) on the innovation output of semiconductor firms. Utilizing negative binomial regression and network analysis, we assess how network positions, specifically degree, betweenness, and closeness centrality, affect firms’ innovation performance, revealing significant positive impacts. Moreover, our results identify a positive U-shaped relationship between structural holes in GINs and innovation performance, suggesting that while moderate network engagement aids innovation, too much can be detrimental. This research provides key insights into optimizing GIN participation for better innovation results in the competitive semiconductor sector.
