As readers of this newsletter know, last month I talked to Asa Akira, who put me onto the life-changing magic of NAD+ therapy. She claimed it helped her husband deal with his chronic pain and helped her get out of the fog of her low-grade depression. It’s been a bit of a rough go recently at HEAVIES HQ. Last week, my wife and I got walloped by a severe bout of food poisoning that put us out of commission for a full 48 hours. This free, non-paywalled edition of HEAVIES is once again brought to you by CAVA, one of the few bowl places I genuinely LOVE. HEAVIES is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Welcome to the HEAVIES Feelgood Routine, a series that talks to cool, interesting, and creative people about how they design their busy schedules to accommodate good habits. Every friend group has that one open-minded homie who’s down to try anything. And last year, when I was asking around for ideas on who I should feature in the newsletter, more than a few people were like: Yo… you need to talk to Asa.
