Today an outgoing US President Joe Biden who really has no true democratic and ethical rights to take any major policy decisions in his last days in office is going ahead unashamedly with the kind of decisions which are increasing the chances of a direct confrontation with Russia and thereby increasing the risks of nuclear war and third world war.

President Joe Biden hardly appears inclined to consider any diplomatic solution to what may be viewed as perhaps the conflicts being in essence only being escalated further by role played by Washington. These include the Gaza-crisis and the Ukraine-war. Ironically, little or virtually no importance is being given by US to the limited appeal of this stand of its in significant parts of the world. Yes, the superpower has primarily the support of its western allies.

Beirut – Since early November, the Israeli army has ramped up its military assaults in Lebanon and carried out multiple massacres there, killing dozens of civilians, the majority of whom were women, children, and the elderly. The Israeli occupation army conducted over 35 raids on the Baalbek-Hermel district on Friday 1 November, killing 53 people and injuring at least 83 others.
