The MIAA high school hockey state championships will be held at TD Garden on Sunday. Tickets are $20 and grant access to all six games. The games will be streamed live on the NFHS Network. Massachusetts high school hockey invades TD Garden on Sunday. The MIAA will crown its six state champions (four boys, two girls) in a jam-packed day of hockey. This year's features some juggernauts as the top-seeded Hingham girls, Billerica boys and Nauset boys all reached the grand stage.

On Saturday, the MIAA will announce the high school state tournament fields for the basketball and hockey playoffs. Girls and boys hockey pairings will be released at 10 a.m., with boys and girls basketball to follow at 1 p.m.The South Shore is no stranger to state titles being celebrated at TD Garden. The Duxbury girls defended their Division 2 last winter, while the Hanover boys and Notre Dame Academy girls were state finalists.

At 93, Bob Jungers Helps Others By Volunteering at Onvida Health

BY CHRIS McDANIELKAWC NEWSYUMA — When he was in his late 70s, Bob Jungers wanted to drive a golf cart, but not to go golfing. So he found a way to tool around in a cart, all while helping others. Now 93 years old, Jungers no longer drives a cart, but still volunteers every Monday morning at Onvida Health, formerly YRMC. He is one of four volunteers at the hospital in their 90s.
YUHSD Awarded ‘No Kid Hungry’ Grant to Provide Breakfast

The grant has been awarded to the Yuma Union High School District. No Kid Hungry, launched in 2010, is a national campaign led by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit organization.

North Quincy High's Aidan McGrath has been voted the Chick-fil-A Hanover High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week. The freshman received over 10,000 votes to earn the honor. McGrath scored 24 of his 33 points in the second half as the Raiders picked up a Patriot League Fisher Division win over Pembroke, 61-49. And this week's candidates are... Yuma County to Receive $640,000 Grant to Study How to Improve Existing Railroad Crossings

BY CHRIS McDANIELKAWC NEWSYUMA — Yuma County will receive $640,000 in federal grant funding to explore options to improve three railroad crossings in Yuma. Yuma County, the city of Yuma, and the Town of Wellton will contribute 20 percent as a non-Federal match. The money is part of more than $46 million to be dispersed across Arizona through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to support rail safety infrastructure projects in Yuma, Marana, Gilbert, and on the Hualapai Tribal lands.
