NEW LONDON, CT — More than 100 concerned residents rallied outside the New London Social Security Administration office Wednesday, according to a statement from U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney (D-2). The rally was in response to the Trump administration's "ongoing cuts and attacks on (social security)," according to the statement. Six of 10 regional Social Security offices around the country have been shuttered, leading to 7,000 job losses.
