It's been ten years since Dr. John Neufeld joined Back to the Bible Canada as the organization’s Bible teacher. This coming Saturday night, in celebration of the anniversary, the ministry will be hosting a special celebratory event at Winkler EMMC. Neufeld says he now "sees God" in the opportunity to join the group ten years ago, but at the time it felt accidental. When the call came, he was teaching at a Bible college in Germany while taking a break after 35 years of pastoral ministry.

Wildfire smoke has again drifted into much of Southern Manitoba, and that's prompted Environment Canada to issue Special Air Quality Statements for much of the region, and in fact almost all of the province. "With surface high pressure over the region today, and generally light northerly to westerly winds aloft and at the surface, that is pushing the smoke southward from both northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan," explained CMOS Accredited Weathercaster Chris Sumner.

As wildfires continue to ravage parts of Manitoba, communities across the province are stepping up to support those affected. The Canadian Red Cross is coordinating relief efforts, providing essential aid to evacuees and assisting in recovery operations. In the Pembina and Red River Valleys, while the immediate threat of wildfires remains low, the community feels the impact deeply. The spirit of solidarity is evident as neighbors come together to support fellow Manitobans in need.
