PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team was picked to finish sixth in the conference, according to the 2024 WIAC Preseason Poll conducted by the league's head coaches and sports information directors. UW-La Crosse, who won the WIAC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Division III World Series last year, was chosen to finish atop the conference.

The Pioneers took game one by a score of 6-4 before winning the second game 9-5.

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team (2-4) played its first game in Florida on Saturday night against Carroll (Wis.). In a battle of Pioneers, UW-Platteville picked up an 11-3 victory. Carroll scored one in the bottom of the first on a couple of hits to take the early lead before UW-Platteville put together a four-run third inning. Sophomore Chris Tsouras drove in the first run with a single, before later scoring on an error by the pitcher.
