PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team was picked to finish sixth in the conference, according to the 2024 WIAC Preseason Poll conducted by the league's head coaches and sports information directors. UW-La Crosse, who won the WIAC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Division III World Series last year, was chosen to finish atop the conference.

TOPEKA, Kan. – In the season opener, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team fell 8-7 in extra innings against Cornell College on Saturday afternoon in Topeka, Kansas. Cornell scored three in the third inning and another in the fifth to lead 4-0 heading into the bottom half of the fifth.
