HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Nearly a month into the school year, Henry County is looking to hire 50 bus drivers. Earlier this month, Channel 2′s Christian Jennings told you about a 5-year-old girl who rode around on a Henry County school bus for hours after falling asleep. The school district has now told Jennings that all of their bus routes are covered, but they want to hire dozens more drivers to get better pick-up and drop-off times for students and cut down on problems.

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — Paulding County Deputy Brandon Cunningham will be laid to rest on Friday. Monday night, officers lined up to escort the body of Cunningham from the GBI crime lab in DeKalb County to Clark’s Funeral Home in Paulding County. The procession was full of hundreds of law enforcement from all over the metro area. At a news conference Monday afternoon, investigators revealed new details in the 30-year-old deputy’s murder.

Channel 2′s Christian Jennings spoke with her mom, who feared the worst when her daughter didn’t come home, and now she wants answers. “Every time I get on the hot bus, I just fall asleep,” Jada Nichols, a student, told Channel 2 Action News.
