Wicksburg defeated cross-county rival Rehobeth 5-3 to claim the Dothan Diamond Classic Championship. To get to the championship, Wicksburg went undefeated in pool play, where they defeated Geneva, Brantley, Houston Academy, and G.W. Long.

    FISHKILL, N.Y. (WDHN) — Former Headland baseball standout, Bryce Cunningham, shined in his pro debut on Sunday for the Hudson Valley Renegades, the High-A affiliate for the New York Yankees. The 2024 second-round pick got his first career professional start on the mound for the Renegades in a matchup against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. In the outing, Cunningham went five innings, picked up seven strikeouts, and only allowed two runs on five hits.
