PIKE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — A deadly crash over the weekend in Pike County has killed a Troy man and sent another to a Wiregrass hospital. Officials say James Thompson, 58, of Troy, was fatally injured when the SUV he was driving collided head-on with a truck driven by Robert Wise, 57, of Luverne. Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene, while Wise was rushed to a Dothan hospital for treatment. Officials say Thompson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Skincare and Wellness Gypsy Clinics in Dothan will be holding this fundraiser. They will collect tampons, pads, toothpaste, body wash, and shampoo for girls in local school systems and who are a part of other organizations in the community.

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Funding for a grant that helps with the distribution of and training to use Naloxone or Narcan, an overdose reversal drug used to battle drug overdoses, could soon be cut. “This ain’t politics y’all. This is people’s lives we are talking about here today.
