The University of Hawai‘i women's volleyball team has released its 2025 schedule. Hawai‘i's 11-match nonconference slate begins with the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic on Aug. 29. The Rainbow Wahine will play in three preseason tournaments — two at home and one at the Stanford Tournament in California. The 'Bows will play against three teams that played in the 2024 NCAA Tournament in Marquette, Stanford and Texas State.

Five University of Hawai‘i football games will be shown on national television in the fall. The remainder of UH's 12-game schedule is expected to be televised locally on Spectrum Sports pay-per-view, with an official announcement set for the coming weeks. Hawai‘i's season opener against Stanford on Aug. 23 at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex will be its only nationally televised home game of the season.

Another meeting, another month closer to a new Aloha Stadium. Thursday morning's regular Stadium Authority meeting at the end of the month was the penultimate meeting prior to a self-imposed deadline of June 30 between the New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District (NASED) and Aloha Hālawa District Partners (AHDP) to execute a contract. Tangible steps between April and May's meeting were made in order to build the new stadium, including a $9 million demolition permit filed by AHDP.

The Women's College World Series begins on Thursday in Oklahoma City, while NCAA Regionals for baseball begins across the country on Friday. Although the University of Hawai‘i softball and baseball teams were eliminated from their respective conference tournaments, dozens of players with local ties will compete this weekend in both tournaments.

Mid-Pacific Institute broke ground on a new $7.5 million track and field facility on Tuesday morning, commemorating the moment with a ceremony and Hawaiian blessing. The project, which was announced in the summer 2022, was bolstered by a $1.5 million donation by Michael Wood, a local businessman and former track athlete at Cal, along with his wife, Joanne. In Mid-Pacific's 117 years in Mānoa, the campus previously never had a track facility.
