A Dublin Unified School District spokesperson confirmed to the Weekly that a Frederiksen Elementary School student brought a knife onto campus, an incident that had prompted parent criticism on social media about lack of public information from school officials. On May 23, a 9-year-old Frederiksen student found a two-inch blade while on their walk to school, according to DUSD director of communication Chip Dehnert.
