"Right when I parked my truck, I heard a sizzling sound and then two seconds later, it was a big poof and my whole pants caught on fire," Lancaster said.

    VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said it has paused a beach replenishment project at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront due to concerns about the sand quality that was being used. The replenishment project began in late January along the resort area of the Oceanfront, spanning from 15th to 45th Street.

    NORFOLK, Va. — Months after taking the title of WBO Lightweight champion, Norfolk's Keyshawn Davis is ready for another fight, and he's bringing it to a hometown crowd. The 26-year-old (13-0, 9 KOs) announced on his Facebook page that he will take on Dominican boxer Edwin De Los Santos in a match set for June 7 in Norfolk. No venue has been officially announced yet, although he has previously fought at Norfolk Scope.

    CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The long-awaited health clinic for veterans on the southside of Hampton Roads is nearly complete. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday for the new VA Health Care Center in Chesapeake. The project has been in the works for about a decade and will provide services including primary care and physical therapy. The new clinic will also spare more than half of the patients at the VA clinic in Hampton from having to cross the tunnels to receive routine care.

    VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Multi-platinum, award-winning band Blink-182 is coming back to Virginia Beach later this year! The alt-rock band is set to perform at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach on September 4, 2025. Special guests Alkaline Trio will join them on all dates. It's part of the band's Missionary Impossible Tour, which is promoting their latest album "One More Time..." It's the first album in over a decade with the original trio back in the studio.
