GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Va. — At least one person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Gloucester County Sunday morning, according to Virginia State Police (VSP). It happened in the northbound lanes of Route 17 near the intersection of Woods Cross Road at around 9:25 a.m. VSP has not publicly identified the deceased individual or said if anyone else was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. There's no word on what led up to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A man accused of a stabbing in Chesapeake Saturday night is on the run, authorities announced. In a release on Sunday, the Chesapeake Police Department (CPD) identified 26-year-old Taylor Truss as the suspect and said he remains at large. He is accused of aggravated malicious wounding. The incident happened in the area of Crossways Boulevard and Kristina Way at around 8:40 p.m. At the scene, officers found a man suffering from a stab wound.
