The April 23 Pennysylvania primary is this week and now is as good a time as any to make a plan to vote on Tuesday. Election experts and voting rights advocates often recommend voters plan out their trip to the polls every year to avoid potential problems. Pennsylvania is a closed primary state, which means only Republicans and Democrats will get to vote for their respective party’s candidates in several federal and statewide offices. The last day to register to vote in the primary was April 6.

Polls close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday for the Pennsylvania Primary, which is also the deadline for any mail-in ballots to be returned to the Bucks County Board of Elections in order to be counted. Postmarked envelopes will not count. Ballot scanners at the Bucks County Board of Elections office, in Doylestown Borough, are used to scan absentee and mail-in ballots.

Wawa turned 60 years old on Tuesday, and the company is giving away free coffee to celebrate. The company's signature branded coffee, which it started selling in the 1970s, has become one of Wawa's most popular items at over 1,000 stores in six states, including New Jersey and Pennsylvania, a news release states. Other items, such as teas, juices, lemonade and a special birthday cake donut, will also be available for 60 cents today.
