The fire, dubbed the Anita Fire, broke out near Millar Ranch Road and Millar Anita Lane. By 3 p.m., the fire had grown to between 10 and 15 acres, according to Cal Fire San Diego. After initially issuing an order to shelter in place, authorities later issued an evacuation order, as well as an evacuation warning, for nearby residents.
