Houston ISD announced Thursday that it plans to cut all remaining campus-level wraparound resource specialists and eliminate the Wraparound Services Department. A Houston ISD school bus driver was hospitalized after being rear-ended by an unlicensed driver in southwest Houston Tuesday. All six Lanier Middle and Lamar High school students were uninjured and were taken home on another bus Tuesday afternoon, according to HISD. The driver of the vehicle, who was unlicensed, was given multiple citations. the district said. The bus driver was taken to the hospital, and their status is unknown.

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is preparing for a possible $50 million budget shortfall in the 2025-26 school year as uncertainties loom about the legislative landscape and potential enrollment declines.
