Mia Turrent, 14, from Richmond, London, is preparing to take on the Saucony London 10k this Sunday, 14 July, to raise vital funds for Momentum Children's Charity. Momentum supported Mia's family when one of her younger sisters, Ximena, was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. Mia is reaching the final stages of her training which has seen her take on lengthy runs in Richmond Park and along the towpath of the River Thames.

Music feeds faith in God. Looking back, I think the connection between music and faith in my life began as a child. I grew up in Southern California, near my grandparents. My grandma had a piano and an electric organ in her living room. I remember visiting and hearing her practice hymns so she could play at church for Sunday services. My sister and I would have fun banging on the piano and changing all the presets on the organ.
