    The third round of Rock School is now underway at RIG Arts in Greenock. Lead tutor and drummer extraordinaire Lesley McLaren says there is a limited number of places still available for bass players, guitarists, and singers. RIG Arts Rock School is funded through the Creative Scotland Youth Music Initiative (Access to Music Making). The sessions give young people the chance to develop their playing and singing, coach them in songwriting, and present them with opportunities to play live.

    Seafield House VE Day celebrations (Image: George Munro) A GREENOCK sheltered housing complex held a day of fun and reflection to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The team at River Clyde Homes' Seafield House on the Esplanade celebrated 80 years since the end of the Second World War. Staff organised a fantastic day of reminiscing and celebrating. Some of the staff got dressed up in wartime gear to mark the momentous anniversary, and to pay tribute to those who served.
