Developer Freecity has filed plans for a 40-storey tower at Crows Nest, taking advantage of the Transport Oriented Development (TOD) precinct controls. The interdisciplinary developer wants to redevelop a 1980sq m site at 378-398 Pacific Highway, across from Crows Nest Station, proposing a 156-apartment scheme. Land lease developer GemLife has revealed details of its launch on the Australian stock market, including its acquisition of a “rival” portfolio owned by its chief executive. GemLife is due to list on the Australian Stock Exchange on July 3 with a market capitalisation of $1.58 billion. A 1020-home project slated for Leppington is among the latest proposals to be added to the fast-track planning pathway by the Housing Delivery Authority. The projects could deliver 8100 homes in NSW after being declared as state significant by the authority (HDA). The HDA considered 41 applications under this latest tranche—just under half were recommended for approval.
