Thomas County Central standout EDGE rusher Camron Brooks is now a California Golden Bear, becoming the highest-rated high school recruit to commit to California in the past 15 years. He will join his fellow teammate Artem Korchagin, who committed to California in early April. According to 247Sports Composite, Brooks is a 4-star prospect, the No. 19 EDGE, and the No. 22 player in Georgia. Brooks is rated the highest on Rivals as a Top-70 recruit nationally.

Winder-Barrow vs Woodward Academy- Winder-Barrow used its tough defense to hold a high-scoring Chapel Hill to just 47 points in their victory in the Sweet 16. Winder-Barrow held prolific scorer Ty Jones to five points in the game after he had a 44-point outing the game before.
