ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WNEM) - rookies got their first taste of begin a part of the NFL in Day one of Rookie Mini Camp. For Friday through Sunday, 40 players that were either drafted, undrafted free agents and trying out, which includes Flint native Malik Taylor, get a chance to hit the field. For some to learn more about what the NFL level is like and for other, trying to impress the coaches and get a spot on the preseason roster.

The Bears won the MCCAA Eastern Conference title for the second straight season and they want to take that success to the postseason. FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) - On Thursday afternoon, Mott Community College softball hosted Henry Ford for a pair of game at Kearsley Park, with a chance to win the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Eastern Conference title if they could win both games. Mott would pick up a 5-0 victory in game one, thanks to a great performance on the mount by Arika Hine, who pitched a complete game going all seven inning with 14 strikeouts and allowing only three hits. She is 14-2 on the season.
