Men’s TennisOn Friday, April 12, the 19th-ranked Carnegie Mellon men’s tennis team headed to 30th-ranked Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. The Tartans fell short in doubles play, and were behind 3-0 heading into singles play. Senior Nicholas Wernick went 6-1, 6-3 in the fourth singles slot for the first Tartan point of the match. First-year Raghav Jangbahadur earned another Tartan point in first singles, going 6-2, 7-6 (9-7). All the other Tartans lost their singles matches, and the Tartans fell 7-2.

The grocery store stocks hundreds of items, selling at what students describe as affordable prices. Serving fresh, serving local, and serving the community, Scotty’s is a campus food revolution. “This has to be by far one of the best dining locations on campus,” said sophomore Zoe Botta on opening day, Aug. 23.

With the win, Democrats regained a narrow majority and agenda-setting power as the state government reconvenes in Harrisburg on Sept. 26. “I’ve been a lifelong public servant,” Powell said. “I’ve always been very passionate about government and politics, and I’m very excited for the opportunity to serve my community in this way.

By Arden RyanWorking deep in the lower levels of the Gates Center, a team of students is sending a rover to the moon — and it is set to become the first-ever university project to do so. That team has been working for over five years to make their mission a reality, involving nearly 400 students from across disciplines at Carnegie Mellon. The rover, known as Iris, is planned to launch this summer aboard a United Launch Alliance (ULA) rocket.
