HAMPTON, Va. — A new government report is highlighting a variety of concerns at the Hampton VA Medical Center. This, of course, comes as the Trump Administration makes cuts to the Department of Veterans Affairs, cuts that are impacting the medical center. Staff at the Hampton VA feel burnt out and fatigued. That's according to findings in a 55-page report from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Inspector General.

HAMPTON, Va. — The site of buses shuttling Hampton University students to an off-campus polling location to vote could be a thing of the past in the near future. Hampton City Council is trying to get a voting precinct set up on campus. Hampton Mayor Jimmy Gray tells News 3 this was part of proposed changes presented recently to council by the city’s electoral board.

NORFOLK, Va. — Congresswoman Jen Kiggans has proposed a bill that would help Coast Guard members get retirement benefits and prevent them from being forced to retire early. The bill would prevent Coast Guard members who have served for at least 18 years from being forced to retire before they get to 20 years. Twenty years is when they become eligible for retirement benefits.

Jasmine Ward claims Sentara owes her money for working through breaks the company automatically deducted from her hours worked. “That practice is one that just invites a problem," said labor attorney Ray Hogge.
